šŸ» Guild Wars 2 Should I Use Level 80 Boost

For example lets say I'm playing as an engineer and I use me hero points on two base game skill lines and specialisations and the rest in to the scrapper elite specialisations all the way to 80, will using the boost unlock the base game skill lines and specialisations that I did not rank up or will the boost just give me the level 80 gear The HP you get from using the boost comes just from regular leveling up, so that's not part of the boost but more part of being lvl 80. So your total HP should be totally unaffected if you use it on a lvl 80 character. Posted February 7, 2020. The community generally advises against boosting, but since you struggle to stick with the game, I'd go ahead with it. My only concern is how valuable the lvl 80 boost is, if you can make do with for example tomes of knowledge, I'd use them instead. yes get pof if you like the game but do not skip to level 80 you will be lost in the end game. TheeRighteous • 3 yr. ago. Yes, you get full gear and a build. You can then play the game from the start since your level is adjusted. You learn quicker because you have the proper build. Durruk • 3 yr. ago. Thanks. I do know how the system works with the different masteries, but in this case I was focused on the Central Tyria area. By the time I get to Heart of Thorns, I'll be level 80 either way, so the question is whether I want the xp I gain in the core game on a new character to go to leveling or use the tomes instead and direct it to those Central Tyria masteries right off the bat. If leveling were difficult, then I would say just boost. Also, Guild Wars 2 encourages you to make alts and many of them. Most high end gear is account bound, so you're not redoing anything by making new characters. I would use your first character to play through the game and learn the ropes. Ultimately, go with what is the most fun for you. If story and lore matter to you, sure go ahead and do you personal story. From a purely sylvari perspective, it is Season 2 that offers the most in lore. As for the boost, it's ok for an alt or for a very talented player. For the rest of us, it is a way of having too many different things to learn at once. In the long term, it is no biggie. Get equipped with armor, weapons, skills, and specializations that will increase your effectiveness and help you navigate max-level perils. (player since launch here) I would not use it on your first character; I would use it on a second or third character so you can skip redoing the leveling process; Some classes take more time to get used to than others; and yes getting to level 80 is a part of the challenge, but understanding you class is more important than getting to play HoT content as soon as possible I really like narrative and stories in my games, but it is taking me a long time to level my character to max. I started a month ago and am now at level 55, but I’m tempted to use the boost to speed things up. I just wanted to know if I will be able to replay personal stories or such cause I real Technically every class can get a build or two that can benefit greatly from celestial gear, so just pick whatever you find cool. However, most people will say Guardian, but I think that's not the best option. I'd like to share some Revenant propaganda. With celestial gear you're getting gateway to almost every possible spec in the game as a Revenant. There's a "trial mode" in the L80 boost which is pretty much what you think it is. You can cancel the trial after playing around with the class, or choose to keep your character the way it is. So try out both guard/rev if you want to. Probably elementalist or necromancer, your call though. The one you like playing the most. .
